About Sheila Burnett, a professional theatre photographer based in the centre of London
Sheila Burnett is a photographer and used to be a performer. She studied at Birmingham School of Art & came to London to work as an illustrator in Fleet Street. She joined The Pip Simmons Theatre Group in the 70’s and toured as an actor for 10 years. During this time she took many photos of the group and it’s touring activities, it was no surprise that when she left the group, she became a professional theatre photographer, eventually specialising in actors’ headshots.
She has now had 25 years experience as a professional headshot photographer & her approach is to work with energy and focus. She likes to keep sessions uncomplicated but thorough working with you to make sure you achieve exactly what you need in a headshot. If you are a novice, Sheila can guide you and share with you her years of experience. Sheila has a home studio, so session starts a cuppa and a chat, this is when all questions can be answered and all suggestions about hair, make-up, what to wear can be discussed. Sheila is a member of the Association of Professional Headshot Photographers, she has had the pleasure of working with Damian Lewis, Simon Pegg, Caroline Quentin, Helen Lederer, Imelda Staunton, Nick Frost, Jim Carter, Dr Michael Moseley and so many more.
